hi,

i have installed nagevlog.exe in Win2k3.Its installed properly and working fine.

suddenly today morning service stopped automatically. Even if i start the service its stopped within 10sec. can you please help me out?

i m using nagevlog1.9.

i had configured to filter security event log ID 680.

Are there any relevant error messages appearing in the Application or System eventlogs?

Application error :

Reporting queued error - faulting application nagevlog.exe version 1.9.2.0, faulting module nagevlog.exe,version 1.9.2.0 ,fault address 0x0000cc7d.

System error :

source : service control manager
ID : 7034
description : NagiosEventLog service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 28 time(s).

If i configured to filter only 680 event ID its working fine. If i configured two event ID's like 680,644(Comma seperated) with event source security then its failed to start. It has entered into stopped state immediately if i give start.

After it has entered into stopped state , even if i give only 680 its failed to start. i could not able to filter out not even single Event ID.

please help me out.

Possibly an error in the parsing routines, I'll check.

In the meantime, you can work around it by using two separate filters with one eventID in each rather than a list of eventIDs in a single filter.

yes . i tried with seperate filters too. But the same error contiues.

I can't duplicate the problem here with that version; it seems to work with my test box (Win xp) and we have it running on some 2k3 servers as well. I'll examine the eventID parsing routines more closely.

Hi,

Again i have got this application error.Agent stopped automatically .

if i m uninstalling this agent service its not done properly .

some of the agent components like Nagevlog.exe and libmcrypt.dll files are not able to deleted. Even i could not able to delete it manually.

i have configured Event ID 680 and Event Source as Security. i want to configure 644 ,680 and two more Event ID's.can you please give me step by step procedure to configure this.

Even though if i installed visual C++ 2005 redistributable package, it shows run time error while installing agent.

how can i rectify this?. please help me out.
