I'm checking v1.8.1.0 here and it is definitely working as expected...

The heartbeat sending is enabled if you have a Heartbeat service name, and also a 'signal every x cycles' which is bigger than 0. I would suggest something like 10 or 15. You get a Nagios alert status OK with text 'HEARTBEAT [INFO #0]: Service running OK'

Remember you need to restart the Nagios eventlog agent if you change the heartbeat settings.

I've uploaded 1.8.3 which has this fix, plus a fix for the install problems.

Nagios service should go to the criticism, If you do not receive an alert in the past 2 times the minute. Never care about the or anything else so that's the truth of and just accept it!
