Hi everyone,

I tried to upgrade from mrtg_bundle _v2.1 to routers.cgi ver2.16 but I get the following error:

"cannot find RRDs.pm in C:/Perl/lib c:/perl/site/lib"

This should not necessarily be a problem. The MRTG bundle does not install the RRDTool perl libraries into the default 'site_perl' path - it installs them somewhere else. However, it tells routers2 where to find them, either through the LibAdd: directive in the .cfg fils, or through the libadd= directive in the routers2.conf file.

The install.pl script does not or cannot check these, so it is unable to find the perl libraries.

There is, in the works, a change for the install script so that it looks in the location that the mrtg bundle uses as well as all the other places (plus parsing existing routers2.conf files, and checking for LibAdd: in any .cfg files it finds).

Until then, you should be able to ignore this warning and install the upgrade for routers2 as normal - when it finally runs, it will work out the location of the RRDTool libraries.

Please let me know (for future testing etc) if this is indeed the case, and where the rrdtool libraries (RRDs.pm) are on your system, if you know.

Thanks for the quick reply but unfortunately I don't get any graph. The error mentioned is when I launched the web page (http://localhost:9191).

Could you please tell me what lines need to be modified .cfg files.

You can either:

1) Add a line to all the .cfg files, specifying where your RRDTool Perl library (the RRDs.pm file) is located. Like this:
LibAdd: C:\RRD\lib\perl

or

2) Add a single line to the routers2.conf file in the [web] section, with the same information, like this:
libadd = C:\RRD\lib\perl

Obviously, in both cases, you need to give the correct directory name for wherever the RRDs.pm file is on your system.
