The problem is that the right menu needs to refresh in order to change the highlighting of the currently selected target - otherwise you'd change interface but the old one would still be selected. To change this, you'dneed to modify the javascript refresh code calls (easy) and modify the menu function so that all Target links are always active (IE the current Target is not in bold) which is a bit harder.

v3.0, if I ever write it, is going to be AJAX and so this problem would be gone but that's a bit long to wait.

It might be possible to get this as an option in the routers2.conf? I'll look into it when Im back at work...

This turns out to be harder than expected, because the Right menu DOES need to refresh if the device has changed; and there is no way for the script to currently know if it has or not. To play it safe, the graph frame requests a menu refresh from each menu after it loads - this also allows the interface menu to highlight the currently active target.
It does try to set a link to position the page to the active item, but this does not seem to work in all browsers for some reason.

I have the exact same problem and was unable to find a solution. I'll keep checking this thread regularly.
