Hello,
I've been able to make mrgt, rrd 1.2.30 and the basic of routers.cgi working, but I'vve some trouble to make it look like what i need.

I need to be able to display by default:
6h graph, 2 menus

but so far it's only displaying day graph and 1 menu.
If I go under option (on the web page of my graph) I can change to 2 menu and 6h but I wan't by default.

here is my routers2.conf

thanks for any help

By the way it's running on solaris 10, apache 2.2.11

Although you can use personal preferences to set twin menu mode, you can set the default in the routers2.conf:

# Use twin-menu screen format (not recommended for screens < 1024x768 )
# yes/no default is NO
twinmenu = yes

This will give a twin menu view unless you override on a per-user basis or with the Personal Preferences.

To get a 6hr graph you need to have 6hour=yes in the routers2.conf, plus a Target which has a 1-minute or less interval so that it supports this size of graph.

If the 6hour graphs are not showing, and you have 6hour=yes, then this probably means that the RRD files themselves do not have a 1-minute interval. Check that you have Interval:1 in the cfg files, and then use 'rrdtool info' to verify that they have a 60s interval and not 300s.

For the twin menu, have you ever set your 'personal preferences' option to override this? Go to the 'preferences' option in the Routers2 frontend, and select the twin menu option and see if things come back. Also, make sure that you can select twin menu from the single menu as normal. ANy cookie-based twin menu setrtings override the routers2.conf settings.

I'm able to see the option 6, so every configuration related to the 6h work fine.
the only problem I have is I can't make it my default display for every user(connection).

Same for the second menu, it works if i go under option, but I have set it up in the routers2.conf but it' won't show up for any user.

I cleared the cookie and the cache, but still no change.

And same for some other option like the display in different color for the working hours of a day.

Is their a way to debug the routers2.cgi script to see how it handle some config line, and how it interact with my browser ?

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure you are editing the correct routers2.conf file? You dont have multiple files and you're editing the wrong one?

If you go to the config verification page ( routers.cgi?page=verify ) it shows you at the bottom the list of active routers2.conf options. If you have set twinmenu=yes in the file, but it shows 'no' here, then you may have been editing the wonrg routers2.conf.

yes yes I'm editing the right routers2.conf file (and it's under: /data/htdocs/mrtg-doc), and the verify page is showing the correct information.
As you can see in the rotuers2.cgi:
# You MUST set this to the location of the configuration file!
my ($conffile) = "/data/htdocs/mrtg-doc/routers2.conf";

and here is the output:
These are the active settings, after taking into account any overrides due to application name ('routers2.cgi'), extra parameters (''), or authenticated user name ('').
