Hello Im new here and to the mrtg. I have installed the bundle and have it monitoring just switches. I work at a college so the network is split between student and academic. Id like to be able to group them in the left hand side as Academic and student then have the correct switches underneth. THis running on windows server running 2003. ANy help would be greatly appreciated as not really a coder. |

To do this, you need to split the .cfg files into two separate directories on your MRTG server, and ensure they are still being called correctly by MRTG (if you are using the master.cfg method and MRTG 2.17, this probably means changing the Include:*.cfg line to Include:*/*.cfg ). Then, update your routers2.conf to make sure they are still visible (probably, set cfgfiles=*/*.cfg instead of cfgfiles=*.cfg ) Then, enable grouping in the routers2.conf with group=yes Then, optionally, you can set a group description in the routers2.conf by editing the [targetnames] section, and setting something like /my/directory/path=Description |
