| Post subject: | MRTG Bundle: FAQ |
Frequently Asked Questions 'MRTG Bundle' is a bundle of packages for Windows produced by . It includes MRTG, RRDTool, Apache, Cron, routers2.cgi, and a number of other packages in order to make the installation of everything you need for a Windows MRTG install. One problem a lot of people have is finding that their .cfg files are not run, or that the .rrd files are not created. You can solve a lot of these by checking the output of MRTG: Either run MRTG from the command line on the .cfg file, or check the Cron (scheduler) logs in c:\systemroot\system32\crontab.log . The .rrd file will not be created if the scheduler is not running, or if there is an error in the .cfg file. You can update your routers.cgi by running the normal install.pl script shipped in the routers2 package. You may need to change some of the default file locations, although since 2.15b7 the install script is aware of the MRTG Bundle. When performing an upgrade, do NOT allow the upgrade to overwrite your existing routers2.conf (the default action), unless you want to lose your settings. |
