To enable grouping (and optionally, multilevel grouping) you need to add 'group=yes' to the [routers.cgi] section of the routers2.conf file. Also add 'multilevel=yes' if you want multilevel groups.
Devices are then grouped according to the directory (folder) that the .cfg file is in. If all your .cfg files are in one directory, you will only get one group. If you move your .cfg files to new folders, make sure your data gathering process knows this else you will stop collecting data!
The names of the groups are, by default, the names of the folders, relative to confpath (DO NOT use spaces in the folder names!). You can override this in the routers2.conf file [targetnames] section.
Since you are using the Open Innovations MRTG Bundle, you may well need to make modifications to the autogeneration and collection scripts to have this working effectively.
