I'm graphing sites in 4 different timezones. My server running CENTOS is set to timezone BST. For Sites in this timezone the graph axis time and Java time match perfectly. i've not specified a timezone in the cfg files for these sites For Sites in GMT+1 timeszones such as Timezone[_]: Europe/Paris or Europe/Berlin Europe/Rome the graph axis time is correct but the Java time is 1 hour behind For Sites in GMT+2 timezone Europe/Uzhgorod the graph axis and java time are both correct For Sites in GMT+3 timezone Europe/Moscow the graph axis is ok but the Java time is 1 hour behind Does anyone know the reason for this or how to fix it? I had a search in the forum on this and found a post for it being out 30 minutes only in IE,but I've checked in IE, Firefox and chrome and the symptoms are the same , also tried windows and ubuntu. I'm relatively new to this though I set up the server after reading Steves book so I've got to a decent level pretty quick within a month (great book) |

This is caused by disagreements on how to resolve the timezones name. Your workstation, the server's Perl library and the C library used to compile RRDs may all have differrent opinions on this (your workstation is only a factor if it has the local timezone configured incorrectly). Sometimes, your Perl Time::Zone librayr can be out of date. Try to upgrade the Perl Time::Zone library to the latest version (if it is not installed, then install it) so that the javascript popup (which relies on timezone calcs in the Perl library) can be as certain as possible of getting it right. Also, try to specify the timezone in a differrent manner -- some libraries will understand GMT+12 but not Pacific/Auckland for example. |
