The routerdefault=cfgmaker should be in the [targetnames] section of the routers2.conf file. The pattern you mention should match, and result in a new label for the device in the Devices menu. Please check this, and if theres still a problem, I'd need to have a copy of the MRTG .cfg file and routers2.conf to identify the problem; also the verion of routers2 you are using would help (see the bottom of the main panel for this or the verification page) Steve |

It seems to be a problem in the Routers2.cgi because if I go to "Personal Preferences" , go to the drop down menu "Default device:" there are the router names in the list. If I select one of them it points to the correct device. So i think this is a little bug. An other supposed bug: I track some Servers, and would change the device Icon. So I wrote like I saw in your "Demonstration Pages" and "MRTG Directives Understood by routers2.cgi" in my cfg File but it seems not to work # Globals routers.cgi*Icon: linux-sm.gif |

That's strange - it works here on that version. The routers.cgi*Icon: directive should be setting the icon in the Devices menu, although it can be overridden by the [targeticons] section of the routers2.conf. Another possibility is that your cfg file is out of sequence (Target[] definition always comes first) but a cfgmaker-generated one should be fine. Finally make sure you don't have optimise=yes in the routers2.conf unless global defs come first. |
