Just wondering if it's possible to change the order of legend items in user-defined graphs? We have a couple of storage servers with 24 harddrives each. I'm monitoring disk I/O for these systems using 24-separate targets each, and then a user-defined graph to pull it all together into 1 graph for read/write. Everything works nicely. However, the legend under the graph lists all 24 drives, and then the total at the very bottom. Even on a 1280x1024 monitor, the bottom scrolls off the screen. What I want to know is whether it's possible to re-arrange the legend, such that the Total line is listed first, right underneath the graph? |

It's not possible, sorry. The Total and Average always appear at the end. You can use the routers.cgi*Options[]:nodetails extended option to suppress the components if all you're interested in is the total; this hides the component legends entirely (may not be what you want) I take it that you've deliberately set the colours to be the same for In and Out on each? You might like to take a look at the stackmirror graph type; with this Out is displayed as negative values, and so you can use a different colour for each component (in this case, both in and out use the same colour) |

There are examples of the different graph types in the book... The demo site is a bit old and predates working stackmirror graphs. It is also running a rather old RRDs that needs updating... I will get around to updating it some time and add some more examples in there now that more spiffy things are possible (like userdefined summary pages and so on) |
