The reason for this is that otherwise there are simply too many variables to know what the user wants the default origin and rotation to be, so it is left for you to specify yourself using a wrapper plan.

It might make more sense for the blueprint to define only a single 4-block-wide wall, so that you can place multiple ones to get the width you want; an additional plan within the blueprint could just call this segment 10 times at +4 offset to define the huge long wall. This would result in a much shortened blueprint.
