This indicates that MRTG is using RRDtool 1.2.x or 1.3.x but routers2 is using RRDtool v1.0.x. You possibly have multiple instalattions of the RRDtool perl libraries and the different programs are latching onto different ones (or possibly you have multiple perls installed with different versions)
The best thing to do in this situation is to remove ALL rrdtool Perl libraries, and reinstall.
