Screenshots
Note: The data shown on these example screenshots is test data and should
not be taken as being in any way meaningful. It is only used as an exmaple.
The test data is spread over a number of Sites in order to show this feature of
the software. In some cases, information has been obscured (when acutal machine
names have been used).
You can see the online help page here.

Why the name chage?
Originally, this system was called 'PussenPlay' (after my cat, Pussenrah).
However, Management (who obviously have much naughtier imaginations than I do)
believe this name to be obscene (?), and so it became necessary to change the
system name to 'PandaPlay' in order to avoid offending anyone. They still don't
believe that the apparently offensive system name was completely unintentional.
Data Shown in Table format (163k)
This is the normal 'top' page. All of the cells allow you to 'drill down'
to more detail, and similarly you can click on the row or column labels to get
more detail. The lower levels of detail are controlled by additional security,
in case you need it.
Along the bottom you can see the various options to change the way the data is
displayed, restricting the rows, columns, and changing the format of the
cells. There are also buttons to download the data in CSV format, or to create
a URL that will go directly to this view.
Data Shown in Bar Graph format (97k)
This is the same data as above, but shown in bar graph mode. We have also
restricted the view to the top 5 sites, but show all the weeks for the year.
Note that we could have done it monthly, instead of weekly is we wanted to.
You cannot yet drill down from this screen, you have to go to the Table screen
in order to do that, although the top filter boxes are still working.
The x-axis labels, and the legend, are both off the bottom of the screen.
SurfWatch Data Shown in Table format (120k)
This is the data in SurfWatch mode, analysing the logs of the SurfWatch
system. Note that we have a new option to show teh split by Reason - this is
the SurfWatch site category ('Sexually Explicit', 'Job Search', etc).
There are also a couple of new boxes in the top Filter bar.
PandaPlay user administration screen (68k)
This is where you add and remove users from the system. Users can be given
different levels of authority, and can also be restricted to details of just
a few sites (if you have a local manager who needs details for only their own
site).
PandaPlay Authentication login screen (83k)
This is what the login screen looks like. This will set a time-limited and
client-limited cookie with MD5 encoding to prevent spoofing, which allows the
user to see the additional pages. The user can log out with the 'logout'
button in the toolbar, or will be logged out automatically after a period of
inactivity.
PandaPlay showing data in table after drill-down (100k)
The 'back' buttons now appear in the top-left of the table. The client names
are given as a host name when they have been logged as such, or if DNS is
enabled (although this slows things down).
Further drill-downs from here will show you the machine's top requested sites,
or analysis on a per-hour basis, or eventually the actual log records (provided
that they are still kept on the server and have not been expired).
If your proxy server logs the User with each requests, you can make the system
store the User instead of the machine at this point.
The later levels of detail are not available (and the links become disabled)
after the data has been expired. We keep the detailed records for only 2 months,
and the summary records for 5 years.
