Forum registration is no admin-approval only, due to the huge tidal wave of spam flooding the forum again. Sorry for the inconvenience, blame the antisocial selfish pill-peddlers for ruining it for everyone else.

Since I get approximately 30 registration attempts by spammers every day, if you attempt to register and do not receive confirmation within 2 days, then please email me directly on steve@steveshipway.org and I will manually activate your account immediately.

Sometimes legitimate requests are buried under the spam. Try to use a meaningful account name that doesnt look like it was autogenerated and you've more chance of being recognised quickly!

I'm also researching how easy it will be to block posting by any IP in China or Russia, since 90% of the spam comes form there.

There are about 40 registration attempts by spammers every da for me to wade through... and the delay in registration has killed off participation by new members.

So I'm trying auto-registration again, and will just have to delete all the spam every day.

When I get to upgrade the forum I'll try and have more anti-spambot stuff, apparently the captchas are now breakable by robots.
