I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good tool for creating device configs. I have look at a few that I found but they didn't do exactly what I wanted. I need:

Complete interface discovery (a la cfgmaker)
Automatically set rrdtool logging options

Or is there a way to make cfgmaker do this automatically?

You can pass options to cfgmaker to set the various globals for RRDTool and so on, that's one of the thingsI use here.

You can use buildwan.pl and cfgmaker_host (in the routers2.cgi extras directory) which will discover your entire router network and build special .cfg files for hosts, with the added routers2.cgi extension directives.

Various people are working on web or windows configuration tools...
