I am not sure if this started after upgrading to 2.16 or before but this has me stumped.
I get a Runtime Error when clicking on a link with the following format:
http://clmon/cgi-bin/routers2.cgi?rtr=a ... f=_mygraph
The full error message I get is:
"A Runtime Error has occurred
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 9
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method"

After clearing the error dialog the page looks just fine.

If I go into the debugger the error looks like it is in the function LoadMenu.

I am running MRTG 2.10.5, RRDTool 1.0.49 and routers2.cgi v2.16. Viewing the pages with IE6 on XP Pro.

This is a javascript error. Can you tell me your exact broser version? This has been tested with Firefox, Opera, and Internet Explorer (plus Avant Browser wrapper), but you may have a different one.

This also works with various PDAs, because there is a mode to disable javascript from devices which do not support it. If your browser turns out to not support the javascript, I will try and fix it to do so, but otherwise I'll show you how to permanently disable the javascript in routers2 (you need to set the sorder= setting in the routers2.conf to include only non-javascript styles)

Browser is 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920
Nothing really has changed recently other than the upgrade to routers2 2.16 from 2.14.

Thanks -Rob-

OK, so you gave me the browser version number, but I also wanted to know which browser it was! Netscape, Opera, IE, Firefox, etc etc.

Since you mention XPSP2 I suspect you are using IE, but if all is OK now then it must just be a bug in the MS Java implementation that was fixed in SP2.

Thanks Steve.
My first message indicated IE6 on XP Pro.

Oops, sorry - I missed that. Looks like a javascript problem in IE6SP1 - anyone else getting this, upgrade to SP2 or later...
