This all depends on your particular SNMP agent, and if it even supports this. Many don't.
I know there are the perfMIB extensions for the MS SNMP agent, but you need to configure them to get a particular counter, and the OIDs are not fixed.
The way we've done it in one place is to instead use the pNSclient agent, with the mrtg-pnsclient.pl query script. You can download them from this site (and the query script is included with routers2). This lets you query any perfmon counter at all.
Does anyone else have a different (better?) way to achieve this?
