Hello steve and has everybody,
I took the continuation of a project which was started with David (joyeux666, on your forum), in short I come towards you for assistance obviously. I created a new user who has access right has 3 elements in MRTG, (it is OK).

(In the file routers2.conf)
[user-Astree]
cfgfiles = /Siege/Switch-stack-*.cfg

But I would like to make the same thing for Nagios, and I do not arrive. I want that this same user is right access has these same elements but in Nagios. Is this possible? And especially you include/understand what I mark you?????

I tried well to make a "hostgroup" for my user, but I do not see how...
In Nagios I created a "hostgroup" with the 3 elements which this user will have exclusively to see.
Alarms mall are well sent to him, that it is not complicated...
I believed to understand that one could see all the services and hosts which one is the contact. But how to make?
Y has to you it a history of "authorized_for_all_hosts". I have only of * for the authorizations.
For information:
I have on the whole 4 users who use Nagios, with all the elements which it contains and in more the user who must have access that to the 3 elements.

You need to link:

host <-- hostgroup --> contactgroup --> contact

( many<--one )

So, if you have only 3 users, maybe have 3 contacts, each one has their own contactgroup. Then, create three hostgroups and put one of the contactgroups as the contact in each group. Finally put the hosts into the appropriate hostgroups.

This is not very efficient, but works fine as long as you dont have very many users.

Hosts: h_1, h_2, h_3
COntacts: A, B, C
Contactgroups: cg_A, cg_B, cg_C
Hostgroups: hg_A, hg_B. hg_C

Contactgroup cg_A contains contact A, and so on
Hostgroup hg_A is defined to have contact_groups cg_A, and so on

Then, define hostgroups to have the hosts that the user is allowed to see.
