You may need to use LoadMIB: to load in the Cisco MIBs, but which one I'm not sure as I don't use this. Also read the abovbe posts about the SnmpMIB_to_OID function changes.

I am using the host template for Cisco ACE load balancer monitoring, getting the following message while executing cfgmaker "Wide character in print at /usr/bin/cfgmaker line 879, <MIB> line 13451.". Please give your suggestion to fix this.

Looks like you have somehow edited either cfgmaker or the template under Windows, and accidentally added a non-ASCII character. Windows has a nasty habit of doing this. Open the file in your editor and force it to save as ASCII-only, which should fix this.

Wonder if you can help me out here, I have been trying to get your new template to work, some of them works ok around interface stats, the parts around CPU, Current connection, Total Connections, Op and admin state don't work. I hope I can get things

This is actually Dan McDonald's template, not mine; however at a guess Id say that it was probably created under an earlier version of IOS. It may well be that your new device no longer has the relevant OIDs searched for by the template.

I know in particular that on our new Juniper devices at work, CPU and temperature are in different locations as they now have multiple values for the separate parts of the device.

Some complex work may be needed to make this work with current Cisco devices but unfortunately I do not have the necessary devices to test against.

What happens when you try? Do you get any error messages? What is the command line you are using?

Using LoadMIBs allows you to use the symbolic names for the OID, rather than the numeric one. This could solve your issue, depending on how you've specified the Target.

You seem to have LoadMIBs: twice on the line in your example? It should only be once.

The correct syntax of the LoadMIBs line is to separate the MIB file names with commas.

Make sure that the MRTG process has read permission to the MIB files, and the path to reach them.
