The error message is telling you the problem. It received a passive alert (via NSCA) for a service called '0' on a host called 'server_1' which doesnt exist. My guess is that you've configured your slave server's send_nsca command wrong, and what was supposed to be a host alert has too many fields and so was incorrectly identified as a service alert. Check how you've configured your slave server to send the nsca alerts downstream. |

You're really better off asking this on the Nagios mailing list, as this is a purely nagios problem rather than for Windows Eventlog Monitor (which is the subject for this group). Tracking down problems with your email notifications would require detailed examination of your nagios config, including what you have for your check_command, and your local email configuration as well - maybe the mails are just waiting in the local queue? |

Passive in this context means that Nagios is not the initiator of the actual check commands above. Instead the client (when it is configure to do so) will submit the results to Nagios (thus it will initiate the data transfer). |
