Hi Guys,

we decided to use nagios for about 100 custom servers. At the moment I call myself a nagios beginner.

With the plugin "eventlog agent" we want to check for several specific event-id's. I am too lazy to configure a filter for these 100 servers. Is it possible to export/import the filter settings or even to set the filter centrally???

Yes, in fact we do this here.

The filter and all other configuration are stored in the registry under 'SOFTWARE/Cheshire Cat/Nagios' and you can export all or some of the keys using regedit to a file, then import this on the other machines.

We've actually created a custom install package here using Inno Setup that installs the agent, sets standard default filters according to selection, and prompts with defaults for host name and so on. This would not be suitable for your site of course as it has all of our standard configs in it.
