| Post subject: | Question about Warnings/Critical turning to "OK" |
Hi, I've setup 4 services, 1 for each eventlog (application, system etc) and 1 service for the actual EventLog Agent. My question is... after I sent a test error via the agent, Nagios received it ok and displayed it as "CRITICAL" - will that go back to "OK" after a certain period of time? Or will it just remain as Critical? Stephen |

Whether or not it goes back to OK depends on how you have defined the service in Nagios. If you have defined with freshness checking enabled, and the check command set to the dummy check which returns OK, then it will. You can define whatever you like for the freshness threshold (how long before it resets) and what you want it to rest to (usually OK). Or, you can disable freshness checking completely, so it will only reset when you do it manually. |
