Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply!
You are probably running MRTG in daemon mode, and using cron to restart it if it dies?
Yes, I am.
This evening I installed Redhat/Fedora 10.0 wow, not much diffirent then MS XP/2003 look, this is way too cool

. Do you have any preferences what Linux I should use?
- Installed latest version of MRTG
- configured apache server
- I followed the steps as given here;
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webto ... de.en.html
cfgmaker --global 'WorkDir: /var/www/mrtg' \
--global 'Options[_]: bits,growright' \
--output /var/www/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg \
public@192.168.30.5
This created only one device information (how to you add more device? or where do you specify it?)
under;
/etc/crontab
add the following lines;
*/5 * * * * /usr/local/mrtg-2/mrtg /var/www/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg \
--logging /usr/local/mrtg-2/log/mrtg.log
Chmod 777 the directory
chown apache the directory
http://localhost/mrtg/192.168.30.5.html (of-course you have to go the directory to find the htmls..
I need some help for
- you rapplication router.cgi
- configuring RRD Tool
- and how to add more devices
if you could please give me direction for documentation how to configure your router.cgi, index maker like in windows bundle I really Greatly Appreciated
I downloaded your latest router.cgi but it is getting really late in here.
Thank you,
DDemirchi
