After setting up my routers and switches (10 all together), all these DOS windows came up with c:\mrtg\perl\bin\perl.exe running and a continous errors...
2006-02-01 15:16:00 -- ERROR: I guess another mrtg is running. A lockfile (c:/mrtg/mrtg/bin/192.168.6.1.cfg_l)
aged 6 seconds is hanging around and I can't remove
it because another process is still using it. at c:/mrtg/mrtg/bin/mrtg line 1419.

Since the CRON runs every minute, it seems the files are still opened (since the DOS windows are still up with errors) for a few of the .cfg files. Next time around, the log gets more of the same, but with different .cfg files....

Can I start over and have wperl run or have separate CRON jobs with different intervals?

The error message about another MRTG running is because the lock files (*_l) exist. If you stop the scheduler, and are sure that no other MRTG schedule is running, you can safely delete these and the problem will stop.

The pattern match errors are probably a knock-on effect of the first error.

The 'Workdir' error is mentioned in other threads. You should have a correct WorkDir defined in the .cfg file - I think one of the MRTG versions had a bug with the path separators / \ which can be manually corrected.

The popup windows is a problem with your scheduler and the bundle - since I dont use Windows I can't help out with this, but maybe someone else here has a solution?
