To do this, you need to split the .cfg files into two separate directories on your MRTG server, and ensure they are still being called correctly by MRTG (if you are using the master.cfg method and MRTG 2.17, this probably means changing the Include:*.cfg line to Include:*/*.cfg ).
Then, update your routers2.conf to make sure they are still visible (probably, set cfgfiles=*/*.cfg instead of cfgfiles=*.cfg )
Then, enable grouping in the routers2.conf with group=yes
Then, optionally, you can set a group description in the routers2.conf by editing the [targetnames] section, and setting something like /my/directory/path=Description
