Hello! I am trying to use the downtime-2.0.tar with Nagios3. Making a schedule works fine. But every time the downtime_job.pl is running, it makes a new entry with the same host/downtime. So I get every houre the same entry. I think, it have to doo with the "my($DOWNDAT) = "$NAGDIR/log/downtime.dat"; # existing sched downtime"?! That file is empty, and I did not find the code, where it should be filled?! Greets splitti PS: Sorry for my poor english, my mother language is german. |

The downtime job reads the downtime.dat file to identify what existing downtime is scheduled to prevent it duplicating. It is possible that under Nagios 3 this file has changed or moved, and the script is now no longer able to read it properly. Hence you end up with the jobs being re-scheduled. I would need to find out more about how Nagios3 logs downtime schedules to work on this. Currently, we run Nagios 2 here (and previously Nagios 1) and so I have only coded support for these into the script so far. |
