Hi, I am a nagios newbie. I have setup Nagios 3.0.6 and installed the nsca server daemon on the nagios server. From a client machine, I was able to write a shell script to test for filesystems and send message/result over to nagios server. I see the messages being received as seen in /var/log/messages. However I do not see anything being recorded in nagios.log and the display/web page does not get updated with the new status for file systems. Any help in letting me know the "minor detail" that I missed is greatly appreciated. Best Regards. Ssmyneni |

Is NSCA sending correctly to the nagios.cmd pipe? You may need to tell it where this is located. Is Nagios configured to listen to external commands? Check that this is enabled in the nagios.cfg This should help you. |
