Hello,

I found the check_summary plugin while trying to map out VMware clusters in Nagios Core and thought it would be really helpful. I am running into a little trouble trying to get it to work.

Using the CLI I am running the following command:

Code:
check_summary.pl -f h00.cfg

Using the following file:

Code:
define host {
        use             linux-server
        host_name       CIN_Host1
        hostgroups      VMhosts
        address         10.100.0.70
        parents         CIN_Cluster
}
define host {
        use             linux-server
        host_name       CIN_Host2
        hostgroups      VMhosts
        address         10.100.0.71
        parents         CIN_Cluster
}
define service{
        use                     generic-service
        host_name               CIN_Host1
        service_description     PING
        check_command           check_ping!200.0,20%!600.0,60%
        normal_check_interval   5
        retry_check_interval    1
}
define service{
        use                     generic-service
        host_name               CIN_Host2
        service_description     PING
        check_command           check_ping!200.0,20%!600.0,60%
        normal_check_interval   5
        retry_check_interval    1
}

I get "Cannot parse script (define)." I've also tried to find more documentation on how to use check_summary other then what is in the -h. My knowledge of Linux is the beginner level.

Can you help?

Thanks,
Tom
