To get data collection every 5 min, you need to have the Interval: 1 option in your .cfg files, and make sure that your .rrd file was created *AFTER* making this change. You may be collecting data every 1 min, but if the rrd file is only defined with a 5-min interval, it will be stored like this. Try deleting the rrd file (after copying it away) and seeing if the newly-created file works. If this is the case, then your old rrd file had a 5-min interval. I suspect this is your problem. You can check this by doing an rrdtool dump and checking to see if the interval is 60 or 300. To display the 6-hour graph, you need to enable it in the routers2.conf, and have the Interval:1 in the .cfg file. It sounds like this is working OK for you. |

The 6-hour graph links will only appear if the following are true: 1) you have 6hour = yes in the routers2.conf 2) the cfg file has Interval:1 set 3) the .rrd file was created by MRTG with a 1-min interval You can check these on the Verification page. Use the URL /cgi-bin/routers2.cgi?page=verify (you'll need to add the first hostname bit, and maybe .pl instead of .cgi if you have windows, and maybe a different path entirely if you use one of the MRTG Bundle install) This will run a lot of tests on your configuration, and will list all the targets along with a note if it is extended timeframe or short time interval. |

I agree. The always option sounds like a better solution than putting it in each of the individual config files. |
