| Post subject: | Graphing free disk space |
I am trying to graph the amount of free disk space on a Windows 2000 machine. I figured out how to convert the data into gigabytes, but the data being reported in the IN and OUT, max, avg and last is showing up in megabytes. So, a disk that may be 12 Gb in size and have 9 Gb free, is being reported as only having 9 Mb free. Is there some way to change this? Also is there a way to reconfigure the IN and OUT rows to more accurately reflect what I am trying to graph? Here is the portion of the cfg file: Target[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.1.1.20.2.67.58&1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.1.1.20.2.67.58:public@172.18.1.14 MaxBytes[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]: 12000000 Factor[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]:1024 Title[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]: DISK Free on C: Options[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]: gauge, nopercent Unscaled[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]: dwmy YLegend[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE]: Bytes ShortLegend[EXCHANGE02_DISK_C_FREE] : b |

In that case, use 'Factor[]: 1024000' to convert it to bytes and have 'MaxBytes[]: 12000' for 12Gb (since the value returned and stored is in Mb). Alternatively, put '*1024000' on the Target[] line and have 'MaxBytes[]:12000000000' (so you are storing the data in bytes). |
