Having customised my v2.13a routers2 install and got everything looking and working the way I want it, will doing an install/upgrade of v2.14 retain my settings or will I lose them and have to customise the routers2.conf file again? |

When you run install.pl, it will preserve any existing routers2.conf file. However, if you are worried about this, then just make a backup copy of routers2.conf before you run the install. In any case, it is always good procedure to make a backup before an upgrade! All the 2.x versions are compatibile with regards to the routers.2.conf file, so you don't need to worry. It may be a good idea to keep a copy of the routers2.conf template shipped with the new version, though, as it has example configurations and directives commented in it. |
