Currently, MRTG uses a hash to store the targets, so it is not possible to preserve the order of the targets in the .cfg file. Also bear in mind that you define new targets with the Graph directive, and others are automatically created by the system. I'll look into giving 'ifsort=mrtg' to try and preserve the MRTG order -- the script will have to store this order as it reads the .cfg files in order to do this. Steve |

I too desire an unsorted option (to just sort it as it is done in the CFG file). Have you had any opportunity to progress down this path? Eric |

I haven't been working much on this one... yet... It might be possible to store the order as we parse the file, and then append to it as userdefineds are created. This isn't as simple as it sounds, though, since the system uses the hash to de-dupe the list. There are more targets in the menu than are in the mrtg file due to userdefineds, summaries, and autogenerated summaries etc. |
