After just getting a preview of the shoe yesterday, we now have complete release information for the upcoming capsule collection from United Arrows & Sons and adidas Originals for the and apparel. The Japanese label known for their stylishly relaxed takes on classic fashion designs lends their hands to the modern-classic City Sock and traditional adidas track suit, each featuring graphic text by the typographer/artist MIKITYPE. The black Primeknit City Sock with a gum rubber outsole is accompanied by two colorways of the tracksuit, pairing a full-zip top with a tapered track pant, all with MIKITYPE’s typography that reads “United Arrows & Sons” and “adidas Originals” in Katakana.
Remember those MikiType NMD City Socks? We got a good look at the coming collaboration featuring the Tokyo-based calligrapher and type designer all the way back in January, and it turns out that the collaboration is part of a larger teaming up between United Arrows & Sons. Yeezy Mafia has the full scoop complete with official images, as the medial side of this features jagged Katakana callouts that despite three years of High School Japanese classes, I can’t really tell you what it all means. But it definitely looks good. The simple black slip-on Primeknit upper is reminiscent of the Wool pair that dropped a year ago to kick off the sleek silhouette while black midsole bumpers contrast the traditional White Boost and gum outsole.
Adidas will be giving us another colorway of the all-new next weekend as a part of their NMD Colored Boost Pack. Releasing alongside an all-black and an all-red version of the original NMD, this will mark the first time that the NMD XR1 releases with a colored Boost midsole. As you can see in the images above, this modified version of the new popular adidas runner gets dressed in black from head to toe and also gets hit with suede detailing on the tongue patch and the heel tab.
April 6th is going to be a big day for enthusiasts. Aside from the seven new NMD colorways and the three NMD XR1 colorways we just went over, there will also be a trio of new colorways of the adidas NMD City Sock 2 that will also be making their debut the very same day. We’ve already highlighted a couple of these colorway, but these new images courtesy of BSTN gives us an even better look at what they all have to offer.
The first pair of the which was initially labeled as the Monochrome colorway was initaially thought to be a simple tonal upper. The new images now that that a bit of vibrant Pink on the medial side give the shoe a really nice pop for the Spring.
