For people wanting to try a new method of doing this, in the 3rd party section of the downloads are two files - pnsclient, the NetSaint windows Perfmon monitoring agent, and unixend which is a set of shellscript wrappers for the NetSaint/Nagios check_nt which queries the aforementioned agent.
By using these together, you can collect a surprising amount of information from your Windows servers - all using a very small agent that does not need to be reconfigured.
This is only an example configuration, but may be of use to people. I would also recommend using Nagios/Netsaint as your alerting tool in conjunction with routers.cgi - you can use the hostextinfo.cfg to specify the routers.cgi summary URL for each host to integrate them nicely.
